Girls who will be entering 4th-12th grade and are interested in Color Guard, should attend the 3 clinic days on the following Thursdays: April 20th, April 27th & May 4th. The tryout will be Friday, May 5th.

Students in Mrs.Delgado’s 8th grade Earth Science class are Participating in the Algae Academy this week. They are taking algae cultures for further testing this week.

Warrior families.....we need your help! We are collecting empty plastic eggs and individually wrapped, non-chocolate candy for the upcoming egg hunt here at HCS. Any student may send in donations. Students who are in 7th-12th grade will be allowed to document one Bible service hour for bringing in 2 bags of candy and 2 bags of eggs. 4th-12th grade students who are in the BETA club will also be able to document one service hour for donating 2 bags of candy and 2 bags of eggs. Beta and Bible students may donate double (4 and 4) for a maximum of 2 service hours. Service hours must be documented in the MobileServe app.
Mrs. Delgado attended the Biblical Worldview Conference in Pearl, Mississippi. At the conference Mrs . Delgado attended sessions presented by BJU Press. The keynote speaker was Dr. Renton Rathbun.
The sessions were titled, “ Walking Away from the Faith: Preparing for the Public University”, and “ Biblical Worldview and Academic Rogor.”
A small group of runners attended the STA meet in Covington, Louisiana on Thursday 3-9-23.
Emma Bourg won 1st place in the 1600m and 1st place in the 800m
Emma broke a meet in both the 1600m and the 800m.
Gigi Delgado placed 3rd in the 1600m race.
Brady Sins placed 4th in the 1600m.
Micah Kanju had an amazing run with a PR of 2:11 for his 800m.

Ms. Kathy Mooring, Ms. Krista Butts, and Ms. Gwen Ferguson attended the Plain Talk About Literacy and Learning Conference in New Orleans last week. They learned about reading research, best practices, and motivational teaching strategies for all grade levels. They brought back information to share with our teachers. It was a very productive workshop!

Claire Farmer, 3rd grade has made it to the national Biddy Basketball Tournament. Claire is loving basketball, she played her first season for TPR and was selected to All-Stars. The 7-8 girls Terrebonne All-Stars have gone undefeated in all four regional tournaments and will compete at Biddy Nationals this weekend in Thibodaux. Way to go, Claire!
