Mark your calendars for May 22nd from 11am-2:40pm - it's Fun Day! Get ready for a sun-soaked adventure filled with interactive inflatables, a dunk booth with sixth graders ready to be dunked, refreshing snowballs, and endless fun! It is mandatory that a parent/guardian of Pk-1st grade attend fun day. It is optional for 2nd - 6th grade parents/ guardians to attend.

In Mrs. Breaux's class, sixth graders became egg-cellent engineers, crafting a top-secret egg holder to save eggs from cracking under pressure!
March 21st is Crazy Sock Day in support of National Down Syndrome Day. Students in Pk-6th can wear crazy socks by donating $1, with all proceeds benefiting the Upside Downs Foundation.
Today in Biology II, students embarked on a heart-pumping adventure dissecting cow hearts!
On Saturday, February 24th, HCS students participated in the District Literary Rally at Nicholls State University. Congratulations to the following students who achieved placements to represent Houma Christian in the State Literary Rally at LSU.
Congratulations to 4-H President Rebecca Theriot on her 9th place finish in the National rifle division. Way to go, Rebecca!
Our Elementary Easter Program will be on Thursday, March 28, at 9 AM at Living Word Church.
Parents need to bring their child straight to LWC and will not attend HCS that day. After the program students are dismissed to leave with parents. Students in 6th grade should arrive at 8:15 AM. Students in 1st-5th grades should arrive by 8:30 AM. PreK & K should arrive at 8:45 AM. Doors to the sanctuary will open at 8:30 AM. Boys can wear dress pants and a pastel-colored shirt with no words or pictures. Girls can wear a spring dress and sandals (no spaghetti strap or low cut and appropriate uniform length) or dress pants and a pastel-colored shirt with no words. Girls and boys should not wear jeans or tennis shoes. Blessings

Seventh-grade students are learning about using samples to make inferences about populations. In Mrs. Kristi's class today, they engaged in a capture-recapture activity to replicate how biologists utilize this sampling technique for data collection.
Volleyball tryouts for Junior High will take place on May 8th-9th. JV and Varsity tryouts are scheduled for May 13th and 15th, with final callbacks on May 16th.

Join us for the Warrior Run on April 20th! The race kicks off at 8 AM with our Kid Fun Run, followed by the 5K. It's a morning filled with fitness, fun, and community spirit!

We need your help to make our upcoming Easter egg hunt a success. HCS is still currently accepting empty plastic eggs and individually wrapped, non-chocolate candy from any student who wishes to donate. Items are due my March 15th. Additionally, students in BETA club between 4th-12th grade can document one service hour by donating the same amount. BETA and Bible students can donate double the amount (4 and 4)for a maximum of two service hours, please document them in the MobileServe app. Items are due by March 15th.

Today was all about honoring Dr. Seuss with Favorites Friday! Kiddos rocked their favorite character, book, or theme costumes and had a blast with surprise guest readers popping in to share stories all day long!
Literacy Night 2024 happened earlier this week. Students were invited into classrooms for reading and engaging activities. A big thank you to all the volunteers and parents that brought their child and made this event a success!
